Railways GRP (Baggage Tag) Launched to save Luggage from Robbery


Central Railways launched a new way to stop the robberies in the trains by using GRP (Baggage Tags) to the luggage bags / suitcases.

This GRP sticker will have full details about the passenger who is traveling in the trains. This is still in the testing phase, yet to implement in more stations soon. This is implement in the Secunderabad Railway Station recently.

This kind of service is initiated by the Railway Police and DGP team.

GRP Baggage Tags will have information like below -

Name of the Passenger:
Cell /Mobile No.
Name of the Train / Number:
PNR Number:
Coach & Berth Number:
Date of Journey:

Even if some one forget the bags / suitcases in the train, using this GRP tag information, Railway staff can find out easily.
