To decide on 'Separate Telangana' needs more time says Shinde

It is official. The Congress high command has finally decided to extend the high drama on the Telangana issue for an indefinite period.

After the core committee meeting held at the residence of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, AICC in-charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad told the media persons that the Congress  party would need some more time to complete the consultation process and it would take a decision as soon as possible.

“We have decided to call the Chief Minister, Pradesh Congress Committee and senior leaders of all the three regions to Delhi in the coming days and continue the consultation process,” he said.

Stating that he was making the statement only on behalf of the Congress party, Azad said the Home Ministry would make an announcement on the time frame to take a decision.

“There is no deadline to complete the consultation process. We will try to complete it as soon as possible,” he said.
