High Court on AP to TS Vehicle Registration in Telangana

Telangana State Government released a notification previously to change the old Andhra Pradesh vehicle registrations to new TS series (Telangana State) by TSRTA (Telangana State RTA), however public objected to do so because there is lot of cost involved in this action. This notification was released on 17th June 2014.

J.Ramamohan Chowdary from Hyderabad has submitted a PIL in High Court on this notification. High Court is also disagreed to change then number plates where has not Telangana State government doing few modifications to the notification like number not required to change, only from AP to TS to be changed.

Even though changing AP to TS it is again a process and money involved. Not only on the Vehicles, have to change the RC as well. And Hyderabad would be the common Capital for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for next 10 years. In this view, it is not required change the Vehicle Registrations in Hyderabad.

Not sure why KCR and Telangana State government worried about the vehicle registrations. They can be as it is, where already we can see many TS registered vehicles on the road by now.

We the people of Telangana are no more interested to bear the name of Andhra Pradesh on our vehicles. We want to portrait the name of our state on all our vehicles.
