ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) is all set to launch their MARS mission today at 2.49pm IST from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh, India. The 44.4-metre tall PSLV C 25 rocket stood on the pedestal of the first launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre spaceport in Sriharikota on Monday evening as ISRO prepared to launch its historic Mars Mission which, if successful, will propel India into a club populated by space agencies of only the US, Europe and erstwhile USSR. HCL Infosystems today launched its seven-inch tablet X1, priced at Rs 10,490, in the Indian market. Based on the Android 2.3 operating system (OS), the X1 features a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB storage capacity with internal memory of 4 GB (expandable upto 32 GB), a 2 megapixel front camera and supports full HD video and Flash. "The X1, especially caters to the demands of the Indian customers...The tablet comes loaded with India content and applications along with an integrated back up service with HCL Touch, a 24x7 one touch service facility," HCL Infosystems CEO Harsh Chitale told reporters here. A Google Internet Bus would visit nine districts in Bihar to create awareness among the people about the use and application of internet, Google India Managing Director (Development and Research) Piyush Ranjan said today. EMC Corporation and Zinnov Management Consulting, in a study on private cloud landscape in India estimated that the total cloud market in India, currently at $400 million, will reach a market value of $ 4.5 billion by 2015. Google Transit, the search giant’s application that gives users access to public transport systems embedded on Google maps, was launched in Chennai and Hyderabad on Wednesday. Currently, only information pertaining to local bus services is available. Google Transit can be accessed on maps.google.co.in by clicking the train icon (indicative of public transport). As usual, with the maps feature, you can plot the route between point A to point B by choosing the ‘Directions’ option. A car and a train icon appear side by side; clicking on the train icon, you get a list of bus services from the start point to the destination, and approximate journey time. Apple Inc has filed a fresh complaint against Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC Corp with a US trade panel over unspecified portable electronic devices and software, according to the panel's web site. Apple already filed a separate action last year against HTC before the US International Trade Commission, where HTC then leveled its own patent infringement claims against Apple. The latest complaint by Apple was filed on July 8, according to a brief description on the ITC's web site. A copy of the complaint was not available. Apple has launched patent lawsuits over its iPhones and iPads against different handset manufacturers, including HTC and Samsung. Grace Lei, HTC's general counsel, said the company continues to deny all of Apple's past and present claims.
