Upasana Kamineni, 22 years, is the grand daughter of Dr. Pratap C Reddy, Chairman and Co-founder of Apollo Hospital. She is the eldest daughter of Mr Anil & Shobana Kamineni, who are into the business of Infrastructure, Leisure and Healthcare. She is currently the Vice President of Apollo Charity & Editor of B Positive, Lifetime WellnessRx International Limited, Apollo Group of Hospitals. Upasna Kamineni has also carved a niche for herself in the healthcare division. And significantly Upasana Kamineni is heading the charity initiatives of Apollo Hospitals Group – which is the third largest private hospital network in world.

Being the granddaughter of Asia’s largest private hospital chain’s founder-chairman Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Upasana was educating fellow countrymen on how to stay fit and healthy. To better understand Upasna Kamineni, you have to track back the kind of works she initiated in various forms including health, wellness, blue cross activities and child care. Mind you, Upasana is still in her mid-20s.

Philanthropy
Upasna Kamineni is into awareness-building campaign on cervical cancer. Her ceaseless efforts on social initiatives include Saving A Child’s Heart Initiative (SACHi), Society to Aid the Hearing Impaired (SAHI), etc. And that’s not all, Upasna spends majority of time with Kids who are undergoing treatment in Apollo.

Upasna’s care for animals is evidently seen after her association with Blue Cross. Further, she also has an animal farm at her residence where she’s already rescued 4 tonga, 8 donkeys and 4 abused cows from slaughter.

Upasana Mother Shobana Kamineni

Mrs. Shobana Kamineni serves as an Executive Director of Special Initiatives at Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. Boasting of a a degree in Economics, Shobana Kamineni has more than 23 years of experience in the healthcare industry, largely in project management. She serves as the Chairman of Apollo Lavasa Corporation and as a Nominee Director of Apollo Sindoori Hotels Limited. She has been a Director of Apollo Health Street Inc., Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. and Apollo Health Street Limited. since April 2005. Shobana is also the Chairperson of the CII National Committee on Entrepreneurship and the CII (Southern Region) Social Development sub-committee and is actively involved in the development of pharmaceutical retailing. Shobana was a national level Squash player and enjoys adventure sports.

Holding a B. Com and MBA degree, Anil Kamineni is the promoter of the KEI Group, which is into business of Marine Service & Port Management, Leisure & Hospitality, Marginal Oil & Gas Fields and Theme Park & Night Safari. Mr. Kamineni serves as a Non-Executive Director of Indraprastha Medical Corp. Ltd. since October 22, 2008 and as a Director of Apollo Energy Company Ltd.
