Speed Guns introduced on Andhra Pradesh Highways

Finally Speed Guns introduced in Telugu State Andhra Pradesh Highways. As of now Kodur, Puttur, Bengaluru Highways been selected. Two Camera Mobile Vans already placed in the selected areas. Both areas comes under Tirupathi and Chittor districts. Trial run already is in progress.

Speed Guns in AP state, Selected Highway Roads

Here is the list of selected Highways going to use the Speed Guns:

Kadapa-Tirupathi, Poothalapattu-Naidupeta, Chittoor-Bangalore, Tirupathi-Madanapalle, Putthur Bypass Road, Chandragiri Bypass Road

A special vehicle inspectors also will be there in these vans. Coming 2 to 3 weeks, Speed Guns usage is going to start officially.

Speed Restrictions on the Highways:


  • 3 wheeler vehicles 60km per Hour
  • 2 Wheeler and 8 seat capacity vehicles can go 100km per Hour
  • Volvo Bus, Buses, Lorry, Transport Vehicles 80km per Hour


Those who caught beyond the speed limit, based on the video and photo, will send a challan to their registered address.
